December 9th 2013: SEO software provider RankAbove, and Founders Forum For Good – the not-for-profit foundation committed to supporting digital innovation for social impact across all sectors – have today launched RiseOut, a program designed to offer an end-to-end search engine optimization (SEO) solution to participating NGOs.
Each NGO will be trained on and given access to RankAbove’s SEO platform, which is used by some of the world’s largest websites and international brands, including Viacom and its subsidiaries, eBay, 1800Flowers and GroupM. The initiative should enable the participating NGOs to achieve greater visibility via organic (unpaid) search.
Developed by RankAbove CEO Mayer Reich and Founders Forum For Good CEO Dafna Ciechanover Bonas, RiseOut will offer eligible organisations RankAbove’s robust software, which covers all elements of website optimization necessary to “rank” and claim the maximum amount of visitor traffic from search engine results.
RankAbove’s platform, with dedicated modules for on-page optimisation, keyword management and backlink analysis, also boasts a “prioritized tasks” capability, which simplifies what is often thought of as one of the more daunting but essential aspects of website marketing. RankAbove analysts will also impart knowledge of SEO best practices for the organizations to adopt moving forward.
Dafna Ciechanover Bonas, CEO of Founders Forum For Good, which was established to encourage the world’s most dynamic digital entrepreneurs to offer their time, skills and resources to help tech entrepreneurship in the third sector flourish said:
“For the majority of corporate companies, search engine traffic is central to any marketing strategy. However for charities, there simply isn’t the bandwidth, expertise or budget in-house to ensure that those they are set to serve can find them quickly and easily online.
“Founders Forum For Good is committed to supporting entrepreneurial digital skills in the NGO community. RiseOut is no quick fix but a real chance for NGOs to get hands on practical training and upskill their staff so – as with the commercial sector- they too can benefit from digital innovation”.
RankAbove Co-Founder and CEO Mayer Reich said “Doing good is part of our company’s ethos, and RankAbove’s accelerated growth over the past two years is now allowing us the opportunity to do so. Helping these NGOs through the use of our technology seemed the most natural way for us to contribute, and should enable a great boost to their general awareness and fundraising campaigns, for the short and long terms.
Demand for the RiseOut scheme is high with Founders Forum For Good seeing an overwhelming response from partner NGOs keen to get involved.
“As the largest organization for young people in the U.S., DoSomething.org has long acknowledged the crucial role SEO plays in driving our traffic” said Matt Holford, DoSomething.org Chief Technology Officer. “The RiseOut program will give us unprecedented and actionable intelligence to greatly expand our reach.”
